What a wonderful Christmas! The food was excellent, friends and family abound, smiles and laughter were shared. The people in my life really rock :)
I tried something different this year with people asking me what i wanted for gifts. Since i'm not about the gifts given to me (I really enjoy giving people presents that are well thought out and personalized...the smile that they give me when they say "Thank you" is present enough for me. Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling :) ) I don't usually get into specifics. This year however... I did. And sure enough, the friends and family came through... I know this sounds so shallow, but on previous Christmas' I received gifts that were so not me. Such as: A huge fuzzy PINK sweater. I stopped wearing pink when my mom quit picking out my clothes! Action figures of Bluntman and Chronic (ironically, i'd never seen the movie these were from) I could add more, but it would sully the point. It's not what these gifts were...that is immaterial. But what sorta hurt was the fact that people didn't seem to echo the thought and sentiment that i put into gifts for them. But now that I think about it, it was my fault for not even hinting to people what sorta things i DID want. I have to remind myself that I'm a pretty observant person, and not everyone is like that.
I want to wish everyone a very happy, safe and healthy New Year! Be safe on New Year's Eve...its when all us crazies are roaming free :)

Christmas, Christmastime is here...
...time laughs and time for cheer!
For the first time in years I have (so far) had a stress free, wonderful Holiday Season. All my shopping was done a week ago. Presents are under the tree, wrapped and awaiting the smiles that they will hopefully bring. Food is ordered (a cajun fried turkey from Copeland's...yum!) and pretty much everything is ready.
I want to personally wish a Merry Christmas to everyone in my life...
My mom and dad: You guys are amazing. I love you.
My best friend: Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. I'm so glad that you are a part of my life again. I couldn't have survived this year without you. And thank you for allowing me to share in the life of your beautiful daughter. She is a wonderful child, and you are a GREAT mommy.
My brothers: You guys rock...*huge hugs*
Evilheart: Even though work and distance makes it difficult to find time to keep in touch, I truly value our friendship and look forward to getting together again... (and come on...you know want to switch to Runetotem!)
KM: You are a wonderful person KMark and deserve the world. Thank you for listening to my inane ramblings and for the wisdom and advice you have bestowed upon me. I'm so happy to hear about your new girl :) She better treat you right or i'm going have to come out to Calli and kick her but :P Shine on!
I'm sure i'm forgetting a dozen people or so...i'll add more when i can.
Merry Christmas Internet Peeps! And to all a great night!

I decided to delete my old blog...
...and start over from scratch. Much like my life during that time, my previous blog had no real direction or theme. So I've thought it would be good to journal daily experiences mixed in with stories of my past. And now that i've taken the time to think about it...wow do I have some stories to tell!
Such as...
This ought to be fun.
Such as...
- an incident that me and friends termed the "Warm Fuzzy Massacre"
- Fooling around with a co worker in the parking lot of a World Series game. (Sounds more tame than it really is :) Want to keep it sorta PG until i write the story)
- The one that got away... (oh and if for some ungodly reason you are reading this, David... I do NOT mean you)
- Being trapped by a guy who had literally trained his dog to "corral" women that were trying to exit his company without his say so.
- My huge group of friends and I once hotboxed the world...promise ;)
- My senior prom night... *blushes bright red* (Ever had one of those nights that you wish you could erase from not only your memory, but everyone else that was there as well? Yup, it was one of THOSE nights.)
- The time my friend got shot in the head in his own living room...and survived it.
- Many an episode of redneck drama, one including: A broken toe, cops being called, weed being hidden, a small baggy of coke being flushed and fondue pot.
This ought to be fun.
